HANDMADE EXHIBITION

Handemade è una mostra itinerante organizzata dal governo tedesco, volta a rappresentare l’alta qualità manifatturiera della propria industria su tutto il territorio del paese; un vero e proprio viaggio attraverso gli oggetti e le persone della Germania moderna e della sua tradizione.
L’intenzione da cui nasce questa iniziativa è di esaltare sia le innovazioni tecniche e metodologiche legate alla produzione della grande industria, sia valorizzare un artigianato, ancora oggi, punto centrale nell’economia del paese.

L’azienda Rosenthal è stata chiamata a far parte di questo evento, ritenendo il progetto Papyrus miglior rappresentante della loro attitudine alla ricerca e sperimentazione, nella produzione della porcellana, di linguaggi sempre innovativi e non sempre in linea con i consueti standard produttivi.

La mostra ha iniziato il suo percorso itinerante a St. Petersburg nel 2014 e sarà ospitata in 15 città del mondo: Shanghai, Hong Kong, Moscow, Dubai, New York, Chicago, per citarne qualcuna. Terminerà con la sua ultima tappa a Roma, nel 2018.

Handmade is a traveling exhibit organised by the German Government aimed to showing the high quality of their manufacturing from all the territories of the country; a journey through the objects and people of the modern Germany and of its tradition. The purpose of this initiative is to enhance the technological and methodological innovations of the big industry as well as to improve the value of handicraft, which even today represents an important focus in the economy of this country.

The company Rosenthal has been invited to take part at this event and has considered the project Papyrus the best example of their inclination and attention towards the research and experimentation of innovative languages in the porcelain production, not always in line with the usual production standards.

The exhibit has started its itinerary in St. Petersburg in 2014 and will be host in 15 cities all over the world: Shanghai, Hong Kong, Moscow, Dubai, New York, Chicago, and many others. It will end in 2018 with its last stop in Rome.
